Yeset responds:

Yep :p

I remember seeing all these cartoons on Cartoon Network as a kid. Good times. I’m ashamed of how Cartoon Network is now. It doesn’t even feel like a full channel anymore!

WLCSoft responds:

I have fond memories of watching these cartoons after doing homework, in the end of the afternoon. At first I used to watch them just to wait for Saint Seiya, which was right after them. But then I started to really like the Hanna Barbera heroes too. Good times... 🙂

Cool

WLCSoft responds:

Thanks!

I agree. We all have our preferences. While I loved the new movie for being more faithful to the source there was just something about the original live action 1993 film that I liked better. Maybe because of nostalgia and it being the first movie of its kind. Not to mention it had the best tagline ever. This Ain’t No Game!

mikelzNG responds:

The 1993 film is an underrated sci fi action film with all the hallmarks of films from that period. Its hard to be the first of your kind, because all the flaws of the 1993 film damned it in the overall video game movie discourse despite the art direction and creative choices being exclusive to that film. Which in my mind, is unique!

Fortunately I have NOT seen that shitty live action Snow White trailer and I don’t plan on it. I remember watching most of these movies as a kid. Almost religiously. I never saw Sleeping Beauty (1959) until I bought a copy of the film and watched it last year. I haven’t seen The Princess and The Frog (2009) either.

StitchMiss responds:

I don't think I've seen any of the live action trailers over the years - just seen them referenced in memes and online outrage XD
And I agree with the outrage completely. Someone described movies these days perfectly: Like Fast Food. Just rushed out to the masses, that consume it, regardless of quality, because it's easily accessible. But it doesn't leave any kind of lasting impression, or make you wanna see it again or talk about how great it was, and how it will become a classic.
It's such a shame. Because as you've said, these things were apart of our childhoods. I loved Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, and the songs from Tarzan! But now x_x Never plan on seeing any of those new generation messes, I'll just rewatch the originals

Cool. It kind of makes me think it has those Troll 2 (1990) movie vibes. With the goblins and the vegetables in the garden.

ZanMiller responds:

Hell yes, I will take it! Thanks a lot :) Trolls and Goblins must be similar species

I still can’t believe he’s gone

MichaelofRandom responds:

I know how you feel. I couldn't believe it either.

FTerracciano responds:

Yeah....but despite this the world continues to shed blood and persist on the path of evil

I like movies, video games, professional wrestling, manga and anime, as well as collecting action figures and other things. I also enjoy watching cartoons. One of my favorite hobbies is drawing.
