Great tribute. At least Charles Martinet is still with us. I actually met him a few years ago and he was a really nice guy. Hopefully they will be able to find someone who is good at impersonating his Mario voice and they probably could use some recycled voice clips of him as Mario as well. But at least he’ll still be serving as an ambassador for the Mario character as well as Nintendo. But I’m still going to miss him. On a SpongeBob related side note I actually met Squidward’s voice actor Rodger Bumpass a few years ago as well and he too was a very nice guy.

I’m saddened about this as well. I actually met Charles Martinet a few years ago at a convention and he was a really nice guy. I think Mario and the rest of Martinet’s characters are in good hands thankfully, Mario Wonder’s Mario isn’t Martinet and he sounds quite similar to him.
