I’m saddened about this as well. I actually met Charles Martinet a few years ago at a convention and he was a really nice guy. But at least he will still be serving as an ambassador for the Mario games and Nintendo. I’m pretty sure they can hire someone who is good at impersonating his Mario voice and they probably would use some recycled voice clips for the character.

I think Mario and the rest of Martinet’s characters are in good hands thankfully, Mario Wonder’s Mario isn’t Martinet and he sounds quite similar to him.
