The Phantom, golden age comics character I don’t know much about the character except that he predates Superman and Batman by 3 years. I have however seen the 1996 film adaptation and I personally enjoyed it.

I have mostly positive memories of the movie adaptation, though it is a really long time since I saw it last. Might give it a re-watch if I can find a copy.
