[Bleeding Edge vs Legacy Tech]

As an old soul I definitely prefer an older low tech kind of lifestyle. (Because that’s what I grew up with and feel like how a “normal” life/world is supposed to be like). I feel like you learn a whole lot more doing things the old way and this world forces you to try to adapt. The new high tech technology on the other hand while I still use some due to being forced to, I feel like it’s just trying to make people lazier and the sole purpose of it is just to make people move less. Just because something is old and outdated doesn’t mean it’s obsolete and older technology still has it’s benefits.

[The Thing in the Woods]

The woods are always where the scariest and most mysterious creatures are often spotted, only for them to almost rarely or never be seen again. But the creature itself doesn’t really look like it’s necessarily evil or a threat. It looks like it’s full of knowledge and just loves taking naps. It kinda reminds me of a multiple eyed Jabba the Hutt.

When it comes to my imagery as of late, I've found myself drawing creatures and critters that have an 'ambiguous' look to them, instead of beings that tend to look outright malicious. Sure, they could potentially be violent monsters, but they could also be like everyone else, just living their lives and doing their thing --- they just look unsettling and alien to us. I like that people can speculate on the creature's motivations.

Then again, the flavor text does kind of contradict that, though I usually just type up something basic to spice up social media posts, and to keep my writing muscles stretched. I much more enjoy people coming up with their own little scenarios for my art --- like yours, which I very much like! I can definitely see this creature being a wise sage or some Chesire Cat-esque trickster with a fondness for riddles.
