Steamboat Willie Cool art. But your description is only partially true, only the original version of Mickey Mouse from Steamboat Willie (1928) is now in the public domain. The modern version of him as seen in Fantasia (1940) onwards is still protected under copyright until 2033 I believe. I don’t think Disney will ever let go of Mickey Mouse entirely. You may have also already known that it’s only his Steamboat Willie (1928) counterpart that is now in the public domain.
