95 Years, One Lucky Rabbit Sort of the precursor to Mickey Mouse. But what makes him so Lucky though? I know he’s just called that but I’m just wondering.

It's a play on the old idea of a "lucky rabbit's foot." In fact, in the earliest cartoons, it was a running gag where if he was in a troublesome situation, he'd take off his leg(!) and kiss it for good luck!
