If you’re being interrogated your best option is rather than trying not to talk or just given them the answer they want, your best bet is to try and talk the person out of it because in the end they are most likely being used themselves by their leader and they would most likely be killed by them at some point after they have reached their goal. They would most likely then have no further use for the interpreter.

If you're being interrogated by some street gang or something, then that is true. But if it's done legally, by the police, I think you'd be best off using your right to remain silent, right? If you're being interrogated, you have likely committed some crimes that you do not want to face the consequences of
