Are you going to take on the Pokémon League Challenge? ... Don't make me laugh. Cool. Happy New Year by the way. My favorite rival in a Pokémon game would probably still be Blue/Gary. And even though I always named my character Ash (because at the time that was pretty much the only human character on the show whose name I knew), I always named my rival John. In all Pokémon games. I guess despite finding out that the official name is Blue/Gary I guess John just stuck for me because of nostalgia preferences of playing the games as a kid.
