Some background thing I’m not that good at drawing backgrounds compared to drawing characters. Should I practice drawing the backgrounds and characters separately before trying to put it all together?

I like movies, video games, professional wrestling, manga and anime, as well as collecting action figures and other things. I also enjoy watching cartoons. One of my favorite hobbies is drawing.
