Probably is the case since they have kissed in some episodes but they are just too afraid to admit it. Some of the comics kinda imply love interest between them as they are shown blushing in some occasions. But I’m not sure how much the comics go as canon to the TV series.

[Dexters Mom from Dexters point of view]

The art itself is really good. But unlike almost everyone else my age I never actually had a cartoon crush on Dexter’s Mom (and I still don’t) but art is definitely depicted from Dexter’s perspective. I’m favoriting the art because it is really well done and not because of having a cartoon crush on her.
