Pretty good. So at what point in the video did this Final Fight parody referencing Fight Club evolve into its own sketch? Haven’t seen the movie (or read the novel it’s based on for that matter) so please no spoilers. Like the ending said F*** the rules!

VicHD responds:

Originally, it was going to be a long dragged-out joke about "not talking about street fighting", mainly referencing the "Fight Club" trailer.

This eventually grew into an SNL type of sketch where everyone argued over the rules and technicalities of street fighting instead.

Makes me think of what my own parents seem to think about the old cube shaped televisions. They tend to believe just because something is old it’s immediately obsolete. When they talk about the “cons” of the old TV’s I tell them they didn’t complain about that when they were growing up and no matter what they (specifically my Dad) say I refuse to give up the old TV. I use it to play older video game consoles (NES for example) and to watch VHS tapes. I actually prefer the older style TVs.

nostalgia’s real

DStar7 responds:

I love them too, i have many, for my older game consoles and older shows.

Poor Peter. At least his death wasn’t a very brutal one. The animation looks pretty good and so was the music. Overall pretty short and simplistic but still worth a short watch.

octopus58 responds:

Thank you very much!! I wish I had more time to animate because I'd love to just do stupid shitposty stuff lol, maybe one day

Ed, Edd n Eddy is so underrated in the anime community. But jokes aside it’s hard now to watch the original clip without hearing Eddy’s voice. I’m assuming Tony Sampson voiced Lt. Karl Higgins in the English dub of Project ARMS before voicing Eddy but I’m not so sure as anime is a lot of times way older than it appears in English dubs and I’ve never watched Project ARMS. But the scene fits Eddy perfectly but not so much as with Ed.

Edit: I checked the year for Project ARMS is 2001 for the anime (1997 for the manga) so he would’ve voiced Eddy before Karl. But if you watched Project ARMS and then watched Ed, Edd n Eddy along with this video parody it would be very difficult to watch without thinking of Eddy the whole time.

assassin1337 responds:

I think another option would've been Jonny in his Captain Melonhead persona. As he does have this antagonism towards Eddy in a couple episodes (and the movie). At the time, I used Ed in White Rabbit's place because I also thought Ed is a character who would try to reason with a murderous Eddy who happens to share things with Karl Higgins aside from the voice actor, which comes to mind the episode where Eddy becomes psychotic from isolation during a chicken pox epidemic.

I like movies, video games, professional wrestling, manga and anime, as well as collecting action figures and other things. I also enjoy watching cartoons. One of my favorite hobbies is drawing.
