There was an episode of the DiC Super Mario World cartoon that featured them introducing the telephone to the cave people. It was made from coconuts and vines. Never seen the whole episode but seeing this that was the first thing it reminded me of. Happy Valentine’s Day!

If he were to return Toriyama would just find some way to ruin him too! As he’s had his head shoved up his ass the past several years. Jokes aside this art is pretty good.

Haha sadly yes. I used to love the idea of Toriyama bringing him back, but after witnessing the mess up he did to the characters, I'm like "maybe it's not too bad he stayed dead". I'd hate seeing him being reduced to being another comic relief.

Turles was made as a concept idea of what Goku would have ended up like had he not hit his head as a baby. (And forget that stupid DBS retcon crap!) I’m also willing to accept your headcanon.

For real, I think Turles was supposed to be 'Kakarot' from an alternative reality in the earliest concepts, he even looked identical to Goku, no tan and all. The characters reference this in the movie still, talking about how Goku could have been just like Turles if he didn't hit his head.
(We don't talk about the DBS Superman rip-off here lol)
But thank you! I do prefer to view Turles as Goku's twin brother, which adds to the antithesis between them: two warriors who were meant to be one, but got divided, and now they complement each other, for the better or for worse lol.
