Might Stop Doing A Rated Art (For The Most Part)

Posted by SolidSnakeOnAPlane - March 14th, 2024

Without getting too much into detail I’m thinking I might stop doing A Rated art entirely or at least take a very long indefinite break from doing it. As it seems that even though some people might find appeal from the art it might bother others. I think starting to draw A Rated art can eventually lead to becoming a bad habit and might get artists far too out of their comfort zone. More than they need to. I’ll still leave my A Rated art that’s on here posted but I think I’m going to try hard not to do that kind of art anymore or nearly as much. This also means I’m going to try and stop doing M Rated art of characters from kids shows, etc. I’m not necessarily saying that I won’t do A Rated art sometimes I’m just trying to not make it a bad habit.

Alright, man, it's important to feel comfortable with what you're doing.

Also, you have A rated art?! ?

Yes if you look at some of my art from 2023 and 2022 you will see some of it.

@SolidSnakeOnAPlane Oh, wowie, I had no idea, lol

So what do you think of it?

@SolidSnakeOnAPlane Of you making A rated art? Well, it's alright I guess, as long as you select the appropriate rating, I mean.. everyone is free to create anything they like, am I right? As long as you enjoy it. But, yeah, as I said, it's important if they creator of those stuff chooses the correct rating to protect the younger audience.

What were your thoughts on some of the drawings I did that were A rated? First two sucked I think.

@SolidSnakeOnAPlane To be honest, I haven't seen them. I'm a minor and I'd rather not look at A rated art yet. Besides, even if I wanted to, I joined with my email and it knows my age so, the A filter won't even be an option until I turn 18

Funny you would mention this. Over on tumblr, I lost a follower because of my most recent image. That person even went so far as to block me. At first, I was disappointed, because that person was friendly enough to reblog some of my earlier fanart; but then, I decided it's not a big deal because that user probably won't like my future content, which they will be missing out on. So it's their loss.

I guess my reason is don’t want other users to not trust me or possibly block me. But I’m also trying to make sure for some reason I don’t cross the guidelines too far that I get banned from posting art, etc. Do you think my reasons for this make sense? Also do you think I’m making the right decision?

@SolidSnakeOnAPlane I mention this brief event is because the image in question is definitely risque, but not overly sexual or adult (not necessarily M-rated). The right decision is whatever makes you happy, and comfortable. Not only that, but I am extremely doubtful that your art is going to get you banned.

I understand your point. I’m just going to try to stick with mostly drawing cute and funny stuff.
